While political parties rushed to help the victims of Situ Gintung incident to raise their politic flags there, there's not one government authority who claimed to be responsible for the incident.
The government claiming that they are now investigating who is responsible for the failure of the dam from the high level authorities to the victims themselfs. The houses that were built around the dam were illegal but the settlers already been living there for years and years.
The reports from the settlers that cracks was seen on the dam from a year ago seems doesn't make it to the officials since they said that there were no records for the complains.
Strangely, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono had already declared that the tragedy is classified as a natural disaster. Sure! Blame the mother nature on this.

People are salvaging stuffs left behind after the incidents. This kid is counting how many glass he has found on the leftover burst water stream.
Still on the same topic, that person is showing off the size of the fish he catched on the leftover burst water streams. The dam was once used as a recreational site and fishing site. That afternoon you could see people searching for bodies and survivors, people leisuring with families and girlfriend or boyfriend, people salvaging stuffs that didn't belonged to them, people fishing, and people taking photographs like me.
Reliefs and helps are very quick to arrive to the site. But it could be quicker since people from all over the place came over there to see came with vehicles like motorcycles, making the road stuck. This was taken near the shelter in housing unit RT. 1.

This was taken from the 2nd level of a house in the housing unit of RT 4. RT 4 has the most dead casualties than the other housing unit. The level of the burst was so high that it even made the floors and windows on this level full of mud and debris. Some walls are even broken.
A survivor from the housing unit of RT 4. May God give you guys strength.
