Java Jazz Review: Quasimode

With mainstream jazz sounds spiced up with groovy percussions they made the whole crowds dancing, indeed 'dancing' was the first word that pianist Yusuke ask to the audience of Java Jazz Festival 2009

The place they played, Cendrawasih room, is not very big and had an average sound setup from the ones on a bigger stage. Therefore the contrasts of the sound from the individual soloist is not that quite sharp. This is too bad because throughout the day, they are the only performers where the crowds cheers so much and shout for an encore. ( I don't know about Jason Mraz though, but hey, I am talking about the JAZZ performers only)

They humbly presented an encore which they change the title from the original 'The Land of Freedom' to 'Indonesia of Freedom'. Of course the word meanings is not essentially important on that pattern, but they had given all their best on that very last song.

Oh yeah, my personal gratitude for Matzz who had kindly gave his autograph for me and asked the other band members to do it for me :D ありがとうございましたMATZZさん!
